Tomato Farmers' Reluctanceto Apply the Bio-control at El Hammam Center, Matrouh Governorate

Abstract

The research was done to identify the most important personal, socio-economic and communications characteristics of tomato growers at the study area, to recognize the extent of tomato growers’ refusal to apply the bio-control techniques, to determine the relationship between the degree of tomato growers’ refusal to apply the bio-control techniques and some of their studied independent variables. The research was carried out at Al Hammam Center, Matrouh Governorate including a sample of 323 farmers representing 12.75 % of the total sample which was selected in a systematic and randomized way. Data was collected via personal interview using questionnaire forms.  To analyze the data, the Arithmetic Mean, Berson’s Simple Correlation Coefficient (r), Date was presented in tables using the Replicates and the Percentages.
