Abstract

The problem was represented in the noticeable shortage in the number of apiaries and cells, and consequently the deterioration of the production of honey despite its nutritional value and economic importance at the level of the Arab Republic of Egypt and in Qalyubia Governorate in particular, which requires measuring the efficiency of the production resources used in the production of bee honey.   The study of the economics of bee honey production in Qalyubia Governorate is the main objective of the research, with the aim of improving the efficiency of using the productive resources used to produce honey to achieve the maximum possible return. The most important research results are By estimating the production function in its double logarithmic form, the productive elasticity of the factors affecting the quantity produced from bee honey, namely, that the production elements are from bee honey, number of cells, nutrition quantity, human work, Health care, the number of years of product experience, is about 0.387, 0.500, 0.267, 0.008, 0.025, respectively, as it was found that there is a positive relationship between these elements and production, with an increase of 1% of these elements, corresponding to an increase in production by about 0.387%. 0.500%, 0.267%, 0.008%, 0025%, respectively, and the total elasticity was about 1.177, which means that the producers of this category know in the non-economic production stage, that is, there is a relationship of diminishing return to capacity, while the coefficient of determination is about 0.969.
